8 October 2019
‘Social Dialogue’: easy to say but sometimes hard to practise.
But it is possible and produces results!

Five reasons for you, in particular, to be there:

  • To hear from local people in developing countries what they think is needed.
  • To learn more about promoting good bargaining practices in companies in your supply chain.
  • You are looking for practical information and support.
  • You are looking for partners and people of interest to work with.
  • You are looking for inspiration from good practices.

May we look forward to meeting you at the conference on 8 October?

Captured the moments: photos and cartoons

A photographer and a cartoonist captured many of the inspiring moments and much of the stimulating content during the conference on 8 October in the Veerensmederij in Amersfoort. Check it out here.

Who will be there?

Trade unions, governmental and employers’ organisation representatives from a number of different countries (including Uganda, Peru, Ghana, Nepal, Colombia and Indonesia), non-governmental organisations, companies, the organisation “Shift”, the Dutch Employers’ Cooperation Programme (DECP) and certification organisations – these will all be attending the conference and break-out sessions.

The conference will be in English, with Spanish translation available!

Location

The conference “Building Bridges: How social dialogue benefits people and business” will be held in “De Veerensmederij” which is situated right next to Amersfoort Central Station. The characteristic high chimneys, cast-iron windows and iron roof trusses remind us days long gone by when the undercarriages for train wagons were made here. Mondiaal FNV chose this building because of its industrial history, the tasty, sustainably produced dishes and easy access by train and by car.

Address: Soesterweg 330, 3812 BH Amersfoort
